Introduction: Genomics Facility at Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, UKZN, Collaborative proposal:

At present we are focused on the production and analysis of HIV-1 and mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) genomic data. We are currently accepting proposals to generate and analyze HIV-1 and TB genomic data.

At present we are focused on the production and analysis of HIV-1 and mycobacterium tuberculosis whole genomic data. We are currently accepting proposals to generate and analyze HIV-1 and TB genomic data.

Our estimated unit cost for a complete HIV-1 genome (depth of 1000x) or a complete Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) genome (depth of 50x) is many times lower than commercial laboratories in Africa. The data produced is assembled using de-novo bioinformatics pipelines in order to provide quality controlled HIV & TB whole genomes.

Please contact our Scientific Manager and/or Lead Researcher for more information on the generation and analysis of data.
